Di Evans with a Derwent Trout
Qualified tuition can lead the novice angler into a world of enjoyment. For many people the art of flyfishing offers a timeless panacea to the stresses of modern life. The effortless grace of casting and the mystery of fish offer a return to the true nature of the world far removed from the telephone and the workplace. A full day covers all aspects of casting and practical trout or salmon fishing. By the end of the session you should be well on the way to becoming a more than competent angler. Who knows you might even catch your first trout or salmon! For the experienced angler we also offer river-craft sessions to increase the anglers enjoyment, understanding and boost their catch rate.
One of the best...a damn fine guide and brilliant teacher." Mike Trauner. Miami
Typically, a day starts around 9.00am and we'll fish to about 5.30 pm with a lunch stop somewhere along the way, but shorter sessions are available. We aim to be flexible and tailor the day to suit your requirements. If we are having a good time and the fish are feeding then the last cast can sometimes take a while!
